Evening all,     :(   :(

Oh dear,  I've been trying all evening to download either of these programs, with no luck.

I don't know what's wrong, it may be me or it may be the computer.

I'll have another bash tomorrow.

Regards

Hello,

I tried Version 7 of  www.oldversion.com that you suggested, and  MaryA managed to download.

Then I tried the ones that Tomkin suggested on his "46 free utilities".   I can't get either of them to download.

I'm sure it must be me that's at fault.    As I said earlier - I'm  not too bright !

Ho Foz,
Click on the older version link from Michael. The www.oldversion.com.
Look down the list of utilities for Winzip.Left click once or double.(can never rememberwhich)
Double left click on Winzip 9.0
a new window will open if nothing happens it tells you to click here.So do that.
A download screen wiil appear asking whether you want to run the programme
( this will automatically open the file and install it on you computer)
or whether you want to save it . If you save it it will be placed in a folder on your computer
and you will have to openit. ( this is so you can virus check it before opening it)
When opened the WinZip icon will appear on your desktop.
If you click on this Winzip will open available for use.
Try this and if you are still stuck tell us at which point.
Tomkin

Tomkin and Gadget,

At last !  I've succeeded  !   I've managed to download  version 9, it went on really quickly, for some reason when I tried version 7 before, it wouldn't download.

Thank you to you both for your help and perseverance.

Best Wishes

A happy Foz     ;D    ;D    ;D
