Hi Julie

The 1881 Canadian census is available online at Familysearch
I found this Charles Dejardins.

Charles Desjardine b 1824 in Quebec labourer
Marie Desjardine b 1834 Quebec
Hector Desjardine b 1859 Ontario
William Desjardine b 1863 Ontario
Henry Desjardine b 1866 Ontario
Marie Desjardin b 1869 Ontario

living in Trenton, Hastings West, Ontario

The 1901 census is also on line at

automatedgenealogy but  I couldn't find a  Marie on the 1901 census.

Hope this helps

I already had all that info. What i'm looking for his Charles Desjardins' parents. I think they might be Louis Desjardins and Esther Leclerc but need to find proof as I found a son Charles born Jul 14, 1824 in Ste Therese de Blainville but haven't found a wife
My charles Desjardins married Mary Renno probably in Trenton as there oldest child was born in 1859 in Ontario.
Maybe you can help me out by finding out if these our his parents or not. Thanx for any and all your help.

By The way Marie Desjardins is there on the 1901 as a widow but forgot how they spelled desjardins then as she was living with one of her sons by then but the spelling changed.

Hi Julie

So that's why the question was too easy <G>  Must remember not to try and answer questions on a Friday night after a long week at work when my eyes don't seem  to be connected to my brain.

I took a quick look at Ancestry - they have marriage records for Ontario but couldn't see one for Charles and Marie.  Just a mention of a  marriage for William - their son to Mary Harnel. ButI don't know what years are covered for Ontario marriages on Ancestry either.

If they got married in Quebec the National Library of Canada has quite an extensive collection of marriage records which list the parents of the bride and groom and the books are available for Interlibrary Loan.  Do you live in Canada?
Not sure what their lending policies are for out of country.

Charles Desjardins and Mary Renno might of married in Quebec but not sure as I think if they were married in Quebec it would be abt 1842-45.
Louis Desjardins and Esther Leclerc were married in 1805 Ste-Therese-de-Blainville, Terrebonne, Quebec. They had abt 12 children
Yes, I live in Ontario. Can you send me the address or email of the National Library of Canada. It might help me out, I hope. Thanx
