Liverpool Lass, thanks so much for the new information, I'll give them a go.

Mo Jo, even the information you have given sounds very interesting.  I've been trying to dig further, not successful yet, but sure I'll get there.

FYI Edward McMahons second marriage was to Florence Dean.  We're not sure when, but youngest child was born in 1932 (although I think that there was a child born before that who didn't live).  Thanks for your help in researching, it's much appreciated, and my mum is delighted!
