David Andrew and Mary Morgan
« on: Saturday 24 June 06 19:08 BST (UK) »
My great, great great grandfather was David Andrew born in Cardigan in 1847.  He married Mary Elizabeth Morgan from Tregaron.  I have a copy of their marriage cert but am unable to find Davids birth.  Each census from 71 onwards stated a different town of birth. His father was John Andrew. Any help appreciated. Thankyou

Hi
What towns do the censuses say he was born?   I think I have him in 1881 living in Merionethshire and born in Llanrhystyd.   Where else?
Cheers Dave

Sorry for late reply but computer playing up.  Yes, that is him on the census and he had some children in Swansea and the others in Bala. N. Wales. I just cannot find him on the 51 or 61 census.  There is a David Andrew in Shropshire with father John(which would be right) on the 61 census but otherwise i'm stuck.

He gives his place of birth as Llanrhystyd or Cilcennin on different census.  Cilcennin was wrongly transcribed on ancestry until I printed it off and realized what it was. Thanks for looking for me.  Mandy
