Hi ,

Just wanting to know if Hitchin is in Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire, or are there 2 Hitchins or maybe Hitchin Rd.

Hitchin is definitely in Hertfordshire, but there are several Hitchin Roads in places in Bedfordshire.

I believe from reading past posts that Hitchin is the registration district for parts of Beds as well as Herts and this seems to have caused confusion at times.

Chamberlain and Wagstaff- Hunts.
Freeman, Cheney, Cox- Northants.
Burns, Muter, Cobban, Hossack, Strachan, Moonlight.
Lanarkshire, Ross and Cromarty and Kincardineshire.
Garvey- Ireland.

Hitchin is both a town in Hertfordshire as well as a Registraton District covering parishes in both Herts and Beds.
