Hi there

In the book "Place names of Ross and Cromarty" by Watson, there's a mention of a place called "TORNABROCK" in the parish of Kilmuir Easter. Unfortunately the book doesn't have any maps, but the entry for Tornabrock is between Delny and Barbaraville, so I would guess that's its location.

The name is said in the book to come from the Gaelic "Torr na broc" meaning "Mound of the badgers".

Hope this helps!

To see TORNABRACK, go to Get-a-map and enter the postcode IV63 6XF.  Enlarge to the maximum and you'll spot it at the top.
