Hi all
this is my G.G.G.Grandparents  so I would dearly like some help
William Douglas c1775?Cavers he was a Shepperd
married Margaret Pott she was Po's born Cavers
Robert Douglas c 1797 Roxburgh died 27/1/1864 Dryfesdale  he was a forrester married Mary Scott she was born Ewes in 1801
I have all details of Robert Douglas but know nothing at all about William and Margaret Pott

SP has three William Douglas, bpt. Cavers, all sons of William Douglas:

18 September 1771
22 Oct 1779
11 Nov 1780

You may have already seen these.

I can't see any Margaret Pott although there are these two females, daughters of Gideon Pott, both bpt. Cavers:

6 Nov1785 Betty
24 Jan 1787 Jean

No sign of a marriage, sorry.

thanks for trying the little info I had came from Roberts death cert I have trouble finding marriages for all these lot still trying to find a marriage for my great grandparents in 1853 and I am certain they did marry

Hi, I have just discovered I have Douglas ancestors from Cavers Scotland.
Archibald Douglas 13th Laird Of Cavers born abt 1668 who married abt 1693 Anna Scott born abt 1678 & their daughter Ann (Of Cavers) Douglas born abt 1702 who married abt 1721 William Campbell in Fife Scotland.

Can anyone please help me with  more info on William Campbell or any of the other Douglas family members.
