1861, sister Charlotte is with her Grandmother in Tallington - Mary Scotney b1782, Carlby, Lincs (who may have been in the 1841 Household now I ponder it)  - so there you have John's mum Jane's maiden name !

No sign of John or William so far

I can see Eliza Kendall in Langtoft with her parents John & Katherine

1871 - John resurfaces, now married to Eliza ...

John Limming 29 HEAD born Tallington Ag Lab
Eliza 30 Wife Langtoft
William 9 son born Langtoft - this may be a clue as to where John was in 1861 census
Jane 7 dau - Tallington
Sarah 4 dau - Tallington
John 2 son - Tallington

1881 in Crowland - transcribed Simming ... John is now a Horsekeeper...

RG11/1597 Folio 67 Page 15 - 'Postland'

as per earlier years plus:-

Joseph 6 son Tallington

Yes it all drops into place with what I have got many thanks for all your help and info one last thing you could have come across in your searching I have been looking for years for the PARENTS of john limming b. 1815 d.1851 married JANE SCOTNEY b 1814 d 1861 if you do find please let me know

Note that in the 1841, John states NOT born in County.... altho, Jane does - but in 1851 she says Rutlandshire ....
