Handwritting interpretation please.

Hi,

Can anyone work out what this occupation says? The bit under Night something Brewery and above the crossed out one.

The middle work might be common I suppose. Any ideas ?

The Night something Brewery is Night man in Brewery :)

Thanks for the quick answers.

I think you're possibly correct - various members of his family had pubs, including his father. But 10 years earlier he was working in a drapers shop and 10 years later he was a Builder Clerk (for his Uncle my Great Great Grandfather) so it doesn't really fit in in that respect - but I think you're correct.
