Hello Mike
There is no Joseph Probert Born1808/1818 enumerated in
any Welsh census.
The only Joshua Probert born in the same period is the one you have been given details of.
Cannot find the family anywhere in 1851

Um, sorry if I'm being a bit dense here, Rhys, but why is the period between 1808 and 1818 significant? If this relates to something I've already said then I've missed it!

Aha! Thanks for explaining that. Would that help, though, as I had no idea to start with when Joseph would have been born. The only references to him I have for definite are on his daughter, Ann's, marriage and remarriage certificates from 1873 and 1893 from which the only other established fact is that he was a cooper..........or am I being dense again? It's possible!

Hi guys

Arranroots' Griffith family in 1851, previously notified in this strand, is now looking highly likely to be my Griffiths family. Can anyone locate the family in 1861?

Looks highly promising, Rhys, even down to the presence of the boarder/sister-in-law, Rachel Davies. Clifford and Cusop are within spitting distance of each other, as are the other locations mentioned of Glasbury, Velindre and Hay. Haven't been able as yet to locate a Llangwm in the right area, though. And Llansantfraid rears its head again!!!!

Thanks again.
