Anyone else had problems with OriginNetwork's 1841 census?
« on: Friday 30 June 06 13:22 BST (UK) »
Various parts of HO 107/678 (St. Marylebone) are indexed but the images do not load.  Hitting 'previous image' takes you to an image in a different part of St. Marylebone and there is then no 'next image' button.

This can be seen if you have an Origins subscription by looking for Henry Stanton, aged 6, in St. Marylebone (particularly annoying as he's my direct line), or looking at the Maria Smith aged 20 at Albey Road Neville Cottage.

I have previous told them about this problem but have had no response.  Tried again today, giving the second example so they know it's not just a one-off.

Also some of the 1841 images are coming up with a strange pink/green effect on them but I suspect that's just my new computer, whereas this other problem persists over three different computers so far.

I can see a Henry on that other census provider:

1841 HO107/678/9/26/45
Hardington Street, St Marylebone
Robert Maydon, 60, dealer in coals, no
Sarah Maydon, 65, dealer in milk, no  ( I think it says milk!)
Henry Stanton, 6, yes

... and Maria Smith, 20, born in county, is one of 5 assistant teachers, 4 female servants, and 30 girls aged 8-15 in Neville Cottage, Abbey Road. (HO107/678/11/26/12)

:)

Ooops, I should have mentioned I also popped a note on the London lookups forum for this one.  Interesting, though; Origins indexes Robert as born 'in county'.  Henry's mother had remarried by the 1841 and gone off with a carpenter from Birmingham. ;)
