At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

On Granada News the other day they showed a young boy aged 15 visiting the War Grave of his Great Great Uncle. He had heard so many stories about him and found his grave. To see such a young person stood there with tears in his eyes for this man was touching. It was only while being taught about WW1 at school and the Somme that he realised how much his ancestor had sacrificied for him.

Our Grandson , aged 3 has also been learning about it at Pre school. He's a bit too young to understand but the seed is now sown. His auntie aged 9 asked me if we knew anyone who had died in WW1 and sat listening intently when I told her about the ones I had found.

Hopefully the next generation and each one after that will remember so that the same will not happen again
