William Austen marriage to Harriet Smith 12th February 1849, Old Romney, Kent. Son of James Austen of Tenterden and Harriet, daughter of James Lording.
Baldwin. Pope, Small, Kentell, Ades, Addy,
all on the Kent/Sussex borders

Can you please confirm whether or not you are refering to James Lording
Born 1737 in England and was married to Elzabeth Sheppard?

I am researching him in my family tree, and it would be good to find someone else.

Sorry Tigerbelle,
They are not from my family tree so I know nothing about him.  But I don't think this is the same James Lording as his daughter was married in 1849.
