Thanks for all that Barbara. I certainly intend to visit the church in Brenchley, and take some photos of my probable ancestors handiwork. Will also check out those other resources.

Greetings all:  Regarding Joy family, my ancestor was a William Joy, born about 1635 or 1638.  I am not sure  his original origin, perhaps Brenchley ??  I am hoping some has some additional info.  He left England and went to Barbados and married a Mary Denty.  He then left Barbados and went to Charleston, SC, USA where my family is from.  I really dont have a lot about him, Familysearch.org indicates his father was George Joy and mother Dorothy Moyce. Would love to know more about him, his life, family, why he left England.  Thanks
