Taylor & Brown families
« on: Sunday 02 July 06 21:30 BST (UK) »
James Taylor married Euphemia Brown in Denny on 31 Mar 1848.  I have 9 children of this marriage born between 1851 & 1869.

I cannot see them on the 1881 census for Stirlingshire.  Have I simply missed them or did something happen ie did they move out of the area/die etc.

If anyone knows what became of them I would be interested to know.

I think they might be in Falkirk at 203, Dundas Street. How old would they be in 1881?  Children Henry, Peter, Thomas and Euphemia??

Hi

Thanks very much for this:

I don't have any birth details for James Taylor and Euphemia Brown but the names of the children sound promising.

I have:
Henry b12 May 1859
Peter b13 Apr 1861
Thomas b18 Dec 1865
Euphemia b23 Apr 1869

Other children were:
Thomas christened 16 Nov 1851
Jane christened 11 Sep 1853
Mary b15 Dec 1855
James born between 15 - 18 Dec 1855
Mary b09 Feb 1863

All births/christenings were in Denny except Thomas & Euphemia, who were both born in Bothkennar.

Next obvious questions are:

Does anyone have birth details for James Taylor born approx 1828 in Denny and Euphemia Brown born approx 1825 in Denny?

LDS has:

Are either of these correct?  Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Andrew,

The BVR's have both of these listed also.

I don't know whether there is any way of determining which one is yours.

I'll PM you the siblings of each James - something might jump out when you get all the details.
