The only William Stewart who married in any of the South Ronaldsay parishes around that time  on SP is:

30 March 1843 to Barbara Knight - South Ronaldsay South

Where was Christina born?

wow

well that's the thing younger Christina married David Connell from Renfrewshire.....  now does does a girl with family in Orkney marry a man in 1872 in Renfrewshire???

and according to that site - there are no Cragnesses in Orkney!!

Argh!

Who are her parents named on the 1872 marriage cert?
I have 13 Christina Stewart  and 24 Christian Stewart on the 1851 in the broad age range, none of whom are in Orkney - nearest is in Inverness. I'll try checking parents.

Christina or Christian Stewart was not an uncommon name for a Scottish girl!

None of the Christian/Christina's match up with a William Stewart on the 1851. he could have died. What does it say on the marriage certificate?

The 1872 marriage certificate has her parents as William Stewart and Jeanie nee Burns. She was 21 thus born 1850 -51.

I think it's back to the drawing board time  :-\
