Interesting development

I have discovered that Jean Burns who is Christina Stewart's mother was living next door to David Connell's parents in the 1841 Census

2 Mary St Abbey Paisley
Samuel Connell
Jean Connell
William
George
Samuel
Janet
(John already deceased)
Margaret
Jean

1 Mary St Abbey Paisley
John Burns
Jean Burns
Grace

John
Jean 2

now I just have to find where the Stewarts fit!

1841
STEWART   William   M   30   Farmer    Renfrewshire
                  Jean   F   30                "
                  Margaret   F   6            "
                  David   M   4                "
                  Alex   M   2               "

Are these not William Stewart and Jean nee Burns?

Are you sure that the new Jean Burns is not someone entirely different?

Hi Tanya,
The Christina Stewart b.1848 and David Connell, I believe you are referring to were Married in 1872
First daughter was
Elizabeth Connell , from what I gather was christened on 15 Apr 1873 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, but must have died very young.

It doesn't appear the other children were Christened. They all migrated to Queensland, Australia with David and Christina, there details are below.

Samuel Connell born 1875 in Scotland. Deceased in 1942 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Jeannie Connell, unknown details

David Connell born 1880 in Scotland. Deceased 1949 in Queensland, Australia

John Connell born 1883 in Scotland

George Connell, Details Unknown

William Wright Connell

Robert Connell born on 7 Apr 1890 in Queensland, Australia

Kind Regards Treetime
