Streeton Sarah
« on: Wednesday 27 October 04 10:37 BST (UK) »

Has anybody access to the 1891 census for most of the UK

I am trying to locate Sarah Streeton who would have been about 20 years old and born in Croxton Kerrial.  She would probably working for a doctors or vicars family as a childrens maid.

Hi Suedym,

It's been sometime and you haven't had a reply so I wanted to check if you had found anymore on Sarah?

Are you still seeking this info?

All the best,
Pam

 :( :(

Hi Pam

I am still looking for my Sarah Streeton born about 1872 in Croston Kerrial.  Sarah was my grandmother.  I have located her in 1881, 1901 but am still trying to find out where she was in 1891.

Hi,
Sorry to interupt your chat.
I’m looking for my ancestors. Also Streeton/Stretton/Stratton. My greatgrandmother came to Belgium after WW1. So i wonder if you are looking at the same tree.

Hello. MyStreeton/Stretton/Stratton
came from Lincolnshire. Only connection I can find that two of my great uncles died in  WW1  1917 in Belgium and I have located where my Grandmother Sarah was in 1881. But that’s not to say that another branch of the family went to Belgium in WW1.  So perhaps we should just hope they may be some connection.

Is this the correct family? A lot of Leicestershire/Lincolnshire overlap.

Well found Comberton, quote from opening post

"She would probably working for a doctors or vicars family as a childrens maid."

She and her sister Alice were in the employ of George Searl Ebsworth-occupation "Clerk in Holy Orders"

Hi again. 😊

I have an Alice Streeton. Born in 1869. Her fater was Francis Streeton and her mother was Emma Baldwin/Boldwin.

Also a Sarah but much older than your Sarah.

Mij greatgrand father was a refugee in England tru WW1.
He married Christina Streeton b1896. Her father was Frank Streeton b dec 4 1871 Marylebone, London, Middlesex. Het mother was Elisabet Jane Collins/collings b okt 1875 Runcorn, Cheshire.
Christina had 1 girl. After the war, the Belgian goverment stated that aal who took refrugee can comme back with their family.
So Christina went with her girl, Grace, and het husband, Jan Albert Tilley b1896 Lebbeke, Belgium.
They had 10 more kids. All but 1 survived to adulthood. My grantmother was the 10th child of her.
