david sharpe married ruth stringer pontefract

hi could anyone help me find out my great grandparents families David was born 1882 in hunslet, Ruth was born 1885 in pontefract. then moved to wakefield

Welcome to rootschat.     Do you have any more information?   When and where did they marry?   Do you have the certificate giving their fathers' names?    If not, then that should be your first move.    All BMDs are free to search on ancestry.co.uk at the moment.  Make sure you choose the full version not the FreeBMD one.   There is a marriage in Pontefract in 1904 on FreeBMD for a Ruth Stringer and one of the possible grooms is David Dobson Sharpe.   Is this them?   If so his middle name is an important clue.
I had a quick look on the 1891 and 1901 census for Ruth but there was no suitable one born in Pontefract or indeed one around that date at all.    Where did you get their birth information from?
I am sure someone will come up with something for you but a bit more information would help.

yes they did get married in pontefract in 1904 and his middle name is dobson.i got the information from ancestry .co.UK about Ruth.i haven't received a birth certificate yet.thanks

There is another family in Morley in 1891 with a David of the correct age too so you need the marriage certificate to confirm his father.   What were David and Ruth's children called?   That might help.
