For Rhys if you are still there.
I was going to give upon the Allcocks but.....
Do you think it is possible that Susanna b 1771 and Thomas Allcock b 1776 in Glamorgan in 1841 census could be the parents of Thomas Allcock b 1797 Monmouth who married Jane Duffield b 1802 glos. How would I find their children? Ihave looked in the IGIindex with no luck I have now sorted Jane and Thomas s children and their offspring and so I am probably just feeling frustrated. Thanks Jean Thomas

Hello Jean
I thought Thomas born 1797 was born Merthyr Tydfil.
I  would think it quite possible that he was the son of
Thomas and Susannah.
Susannah was still alive in 1851.
She was living with her daughter Susannah Thomas
born Merthyr and grand children in Brierly Hill. Ebbw Vale .
Bedwellty parish. She was born Brosly Shropshire per the census.
There is a marriage on the Igi in 1790 at Brosley
Shropshire between Thomas Allcock and Susannah
Harris. I saw two of their children on the igi born Merthyr.
Try a post on the Glamorgan list regarding the birth of
Thomas jun. If that turns up nothing try the Glamorgan FHS
look up service.

If you need details of the 1851 enumeration let me know.

Thank you Rhys. I have found the details in the 1841 census and found a daughter Anne in the IGI but  no other children.
As you suggested I have tried a post on the Glam. list. I wish Ihad your knowledge! Best wishes Jean
