help to get past "dead end"
« on: Wednesday 11 February 04 09:07 GMT (UK) »
 ::) :o
I have come to a solid brick wall  on my gggrandfather Jabus BARTLETT.
I know he  married Elizabeth Sarah BUTCHER in Frindsbury Kent 1822.
Elizabeth was born in 1800 in Chatham to Thomas and Mary.(nee EARTHE)
Can anyone help find Jabus at anytime before his recorded marrage. I have searched for a long while and not sure where to look next.Can anyone help with this.

June,   ;D

Are you aware Jabus,  is sometimes spelt Jabaz or Jabez,   :(  sorry I don't have anything more concrete to offer.  Does he have any siblings you know of you could try?  Or a trade for trade directories or associations?

Kazza.

Hi Kazza.

Yes I know of the other spelling.His grandson was christened Jabez..

I have his name from a record of his marrage cert from Parish register  but have tried the variants. However - thanks for your reply.

Hi Teresa - thanks your reply.
Yes Ive tried the online directories with no luck.
Im guessing the date for his birth as 1795. This is a real puzzle.

Cheers
