Don't think it's McGlone - there's a dot over an i there. Bride's mother's MS in McGherry or McGerry.

Perhaps I'll download it and have a tinker with the contrast.

hi - as far as i know from later birth cert and marriage cert..... my g grandmother was Sarah Gethins (I think that is how i read it) BUT i cant find anything on her... her father was Patrick but what I find is not anything on a Patrick Gethins but there is a Patrick Gittens...... so not sure if this is the same...... Sarah was born in 1879 and she married a Thomas Cully - which i definitely cannot find anything more about the Cully family. I do know that it changed sometime to Culley because that is me!  ;D

Jacki - So I presume she is their daughter :-\

Gethins and McGlone are the surnames.  What exactly don't you know about her?

sorry Gadget, I put that there so that may help the interpretation of her parents. I have tried looking on census records but to no avail. Her spelling on her marriage is Gethins and so is her father's but when i go to his marriage cert it doesnt appear to be the same. It is my 2nd g grandparents that I am trying to work out...... sorry about the confusion but i thought it may help to work out her parent's parents names... now i am getting confused......  ::)
