Llangeinor is 2 miles from Blaengarw. Blaen (=head) Garw is at the head (source) of the Garw valley. Llangeinor is a hill-top village that overlooks the confluence of the Afon Garw & Ogwr Fawr valleys.

Blaencwm is at the head (source) of the Rhondda (fawr) Valley.
