Yes I was wondering was Gladstone the father's surname!

Might be worth a look in Dundee in 1901 for Gladstone - maybe he was a restauranteur  ;)

Another check, of course is Elizabeth Findlay's line: were there any Gladstone's there.

I'm tempted to make jokes about Gladstone bags and gooseberry bushes  :)
