Joe

There's another two gaps - do you have James and Mary's wedding cert. This will give James's parents?
Also, the 1861?

do not know if i should ask..........? would there be a street name for the 1861 census, telling us where greenhead cottage was? it is surprising that he said he was born in erskine all the way through the census but low and behold he says ireland on the 1861 census!

erskine has really really grown over the past 30/40 years, it used to be a wee village next to inchinnan, you used to be able to drive through inchinnan to erskine but now you have to go around it.
