There are a few Pulestons in the Penley Parish Registers, which I have, but they only appear after 1800.

Thanks William. That's a bit late though as I'm concerned with going back after 1670 but when I've solved the line  ::) ::) ::) I might come back down again and look for collaterals  :)

Hi Gadget

Oh this is really excellent news, Gadget  ;D I'm ever so chuffed that I've been able to be of assistance to you  ;D  It's amazing what useful information can be discoved over the internet these days.

How does your branch of the Pulestons tie in with mine?

Sorry that I haven't responded more promptly to your messages.  I don't have an internet connection here at home so I use the service provided by my local library.

I can't thank you enough for those parish register extractions! What an unusual name (Maria "Sobieski" Puleston) sounds Polish to me.  We must tell Haydn about these discoveries too.

What was the Bayley entry you found? My direct ancestor James Bayley married his first cousin Ann daughter of John & Eleanor Puleston in about 1742.  I have a copy of the marriage bond which says the marriage ceremony was to be performed at Emral or Bangor.  Can't find it however.  Marriage between cousins from rich families was common in those days I believe.  Sadly Ann died and James remarried.

Hope I haven't rambled on too much?

Best - Jayson  ;)

Hi Jayson

Nice to hear from you  :)  I fit in to Haydn's tree at the 15th generation - we have a common 7 x great grandfather - Richard Puleston who died 1678 was Katherine's father.

I'll have a look for some more over the next few days for you - including Bayleys.

Gadget - who passed through Overton and Bangor on Dee last year and didn't take any photos  :( :(

Hi Gadget

I've sent you a personal message!

Do you know if Emral is a parish?

Hi Jayson - haven't got it yet but  ??? ??? ???

Did you get mine with my e-mail?

Emral was near Overton and in that parish I believe - I'm getting the transcripts this week so I'll have B on Dee, Worthenbury and Overton - should cover most of them, I'd think. William suggests Malpas as well - do you have access to those records?

Gadget

PS if you come across an Ann(e) Heison b.c. 1725-30, I'd be interested - she married Katherine's grandson.

pps - I got your e-mail, thanks,  and have replied  :)
