Could someone please lookup a marriage for Sarah Ann Harrison and John Mullins March 1887 9c 376 I need to Know the parents names and the ages of John and Sarah.

Names of said parents and ages of said couple would only be gained if someone on here was related to them or you  purchased the Marriage Certificate.


I have however found a possible family unit in the 1891 census


Looks like they might be staing in an Inn or something called The Travellers Rest, Ulley Yorkshire

John Mullins 24 Ulley Yks Occ Coal Miner

Sarah A Mullins 24 bn Sheffield

Ada Mullins 2 bn Woodhouse Hill/Mill (one or the other)




Another would beif you have a child born to this couple and you have their birth year and place of birth.

                I am trying to determine if Sarah Ann Mullins is the same woman as Sarah Ann Harrison. My grandmother was born Sarah Ann Lazenby and all I know is she married a Mullins and he died she then married my grandfather (I have that certificate which says Sarah Ann Hellewell late Mullins formerly Lazenby) as I can find no marriage for the Mullins and Lazenby I am wondering if she married someone else first and then married Mullins.Thats why i was also enquiring about the marriage with Luther Harrison.

Wendy, don't know if your ready for this but here goes lol,
my father Fred Hellewell born Mexborough 27th July 1915 has on his birth certificate his father as george william hellewell mother sarah ann hellewell formerly gower (think that was a lie) then I found a marriage for george william hellewell widow age 42 and sarah ann mullins widow age 42 and has her father as john Lazenby. the marriage is dated 20th may 1918. then I found a birth for a florence hellewell dated 17th august 1918 and it has george william hellewell as the father and sarah ann hellewell late mullins formerly lazenby on the cert. My family tells me she used to be a mullins  but i didnt know what her maiden name was always thought it was gower. my dad was born in mexborough ( fred) and sarah and george were married in north bierley  and florence was born in north bierley. Really hope u can help I have been searching for this woman for 3yrs.

Ok lets start with what you know to be the utmost truth,

Your dad Fred does/did he have a sister called Florence?

On the marriage cert you have for the two widows what was the Occupation for George Wm Hellewell and also for John Lazenby?

Just to add this find

If George Wm Hellewells father was called Frederick then I have him in the census, but was is strange, is that there was a Samuel Gower age 45 boarding with  George and Harriet Ann Hellewell in the 1901 census.


Here is the marriage for them


George W Hellewell 1897 Oct - Dec Harriet Ann Gower

Coincidence or what.


I am just going to see if I can see her in the 1891 census

Can't see her in the 1891 but found her in the 1881 and Samuel Gower is down as her father

Just to say I checked 1901 census for the the Mullins family that I found in the 1891 


and they had a boarder named Ralph Harrison who was shown as bieing Sarahs  brother so she wasn't your Sarah Ann Lazenby.
