Currah's and Richardsons
« on: Saturday 22 July 06 13:38 BST (UK) »
Hello,

My mother was born in appleby and i visit every year.  She moved down to the midlands in the mid-sixties.

I am researching my family tree and I'm having problems in tracing the Richardson family.  I'm looking for a John Richardson who married a Sarah Ann Jackson in 1907.  They had a daughter called Florence May Richardson who married John E Currah in 1933.

Are there any connections or could anyone help me trace the Richardsons, as this is quite a common surname there are lots to choose from

Thanks

Mark

Mark ......

Have replied your message.

We do have a connection. Sarah Ann JACKSON is the sister of my great-granddad William John JACKSON.
She did marry a John RICHARDSON.

I have John's parents as Isaac RICHARDSON and Agnes RICHARDSON.

That's great Miranda.

Could you tell me a little more about John Richardson i.e when he was born.

I'll try and explain my connection with John Richardson here goes.

John Richardson married Sarah Ann Jackson in 1907

They had a daughter called Florence May Richardson who married John E Currah in 1933.

They had a daughter called Mabel, she married Andrew Spence in in Appleby, 1956.

They had a daughter called Catherine born in Appleby.  In the mid sixties Andy, Mabel, Catherine & Family moved to the West Midlands.

In 1979 Catherine married Stephen Wood in Rowley Regis, West Midlands.  I'm their son Mark.

Please could you tell me more about any research you have done because I am really stuck on the Richardson family at the moment.

Best Regards

Mark.
