Tracing Ada Wilkins
« on: Friday 29 October 04 17:25 BST (UK) »
I have just started to build my family tree and am finding it very difficult to trace my gt. grandma who I knew by the surnames Wilkins and Sanger.

She was born in Plymouth in 1899 (so the family say) and had a son named George who I knew as George Wilkins.  Gran had two daughters, Maud and Ruby (Sanger, I believe).

There's a tale of Gran and the workhouse so I'm assuming she left the family home in her early teens?  As far as I am aware, her daughters Maud and Ruby were born and raised in London where gt. gran lived (and died late 70s/80s)?

Other names linked to gt. gran are Percy and Violet, possibly siblings.

I shall be most grateful for any information.
