Hi finding it hard to get this information i have a Robert Little that married a Marion Johnstone in 1877 in Juxta Kirkpatrick Dumfriesshire would likee to find out both sets of parents names if possible thanks

I have 2 Marion Johnstones in my tree.

The first one is Marion Johnstone b Maxwell town Kirkcudbrightshire 1859.I have not yet found a marriage for this Marion Johnstone

Her parents were Robert Johnstone b 1818 Girthon

and Margaret Hogg b 1817 Lanark Glasgow.




The 2nd  is Marion Johnstone b 1882. (both are related)


Marion Johnstone b 1882 was illigitmate.I have not found a marriage for this Marion yet

Her mother was Margaret Johnstone b 1854 Maxwelltown.(daughter of Robert Johnstone & Margaret Hogg)


Marion Johnstone b1882 is the daughter  of Margaret Johnstone  b 1854

does this ring any bells

Hi bluemale, sorry if this is too late for your enquiry, but I've been off the net for a few months and have only just seen it.
My husband's family are Littles from K Juxta, and I have a Robert Little b 1834 in the tree. Not yet got round to his marriage, but as I'm sure you've found out, they nearly all married Johnstones!
There are a lot of siblings in every generation, and it takes time to follow each one up, but if I can help with anything then contact me direct, and I''ll see if anything matches your researches.
