Which Cambs archives?
« on: Thursday 27 July 06 18:14 BST (UK) »
If I'm looking for the parish register entry for a Whittlesey district marriage for 1859, which archives do I need to search - Cambridge, Huntingdon or Peterborough?

Hi

You could try sending for the marriage cert., this would have the name of the church and parish on.

Ken,
Thanks for your very kind offer; but someone, who heard about my problem yesterday, went and trawled the registers for the Whittlesey area this morning. They found the marriage, and the details were waiting for me when I got back tonight. Oh, if only I had time to do such things!

Thanks again - I really do appreciate your offer.
