1841 and 1861 lookup Huddersfield - Tiffany- COMPLETED

Hi

I have the following family in 1851, but am unable to trace them in 1841 and 1861.

Christopher Tiffany age 45 Huddersfield
Eliza Tiffany Wife age 41 Hudds
Harriet Tiffany  daughter age 15
Emma Tiffany daughter age 2

Living Brackenhall on 1851 census.  Could be living in Ash brow/ Fartown area.

On 1871 Eliza is a widow, so she could be on the 1861 too.

By 1861 it looks as though daughter "Harriot" is married to a William Beaumont and their family is living at Marsh, Huddersfield; Harriet's mother "Elizth Tiffeney", 51 and sister "Ema", 12, are with them:

There is a death on free Ancestry - Christopher Tiffany 1858 1st quarter Huddersfield Vol 91 pg 229

In 1841 the whole family is mistranscribed as "Jeffery"; Christopher (30), Eliza (30), Harriot (5) and Elizabeth (4m) are living at Ash Brow, Huddersfield (it's clear from the census return that the name is Tiffany rather than Jeffery):

Hiya Janette also found this on the York Assizes site dont know if hes yours but right age so possibly  .Christopher Tiffany age 19 Trial date 19th March 1825.Also appearing on same date so possibly a brother James Tiffany age 21.Worth checking out anyway.Best Wishes Welsh Lady

Thanks to everyone who located Christopher and his family on the 1841 and 1861 census. 

Welsh lady do you have a link to the trial dates you mentioned for Christopher and a James.  James is in fact Christophers brother. and do you know what the trial dates are for?

As you lot are so good as finding my "Tiffanys" there is another one I cannot find on the 1841 census, his name is Titus Tiffany born 1822 and he is yet another brother.  I have him on the other census records variations include Tiffney, Tilus etc.
 If you can find him it would be great.

You never know there may be more Tiffanys to come!!!!

Janette just go onto google put in York assizes .Youll have to look around the site see if you can get more info or have a look up done to see what they were on trial for it doesnt say .Just go onto surnames T.Good Luck .Best Wishes Welsh Lady
