Exchange Buidings, Wrockwardine Wood
« on: Saturday 29 July 06 19:38 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for information about the Exchange Buildings in 1912. I have a birth cerificate giving this as the parents address. This is surprising as I thought they lived in Derbyshire at the time. The father was a lace manufacturer in Long Eaton, Derbys.

Thanks

Jane

Hi Jane;
I know this is quite old but I was just browsing through postings and saw no-one had replied to it. I have no knowledge of Exchange Buildings but you might try emailing a query to  archives@shropshire-cc.gov.uk
Presumably the birth certificate didn't show a street...

Hi Dave

Looking closer at the birth certificate it says

Exchange Buildings, Oakengates, Wombridge.

The baptism certificate says

Exchange Buildings, Wrockwardine Wood, Salop. from the Primitive Methodist Register Book of Baptisms at Oakengates, in Oakengates and Wellington Circuit.

This all took place in 1912.

I will try the archives. Thanks for the reply.
