I copied this from the 1851 microfilm Wales, County Glamorgan, Swansea==== In Hamlet of Clase lower part of Morristown, within the Municipal Borough of Swansea, which lies between the Dukes Arms Public House on the South next to the turnpike from Llangafelach to the Witch Tree Bridge on the N.E. and extending from the road leading from the turnpike to the Tanyard and by the Market place back to the said Dukes Arms Public House on the North to the Raver/River Yarne on the South East.  Is there any map available or something that would indicate where this is located?

Hello

Try the following site
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/
Do a coordinate search 267356,197899
Go to enlarged view and scroll around.
I think the WYCH tree bridge is on the river
to the east of the Morriston Pottery

Thanks for the link. After really looking at the map I found the Dukes Arms P H. That description covers a good area. At least I got an idea of the location of the covered area in the discription.
That leads to a question what was/or is a public house? Sorry but being from the states, I might assume that might be like a boarding house/ apartment building.

Hello

A public house, usually known as a pub, is a drinking establishment found mainly in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries influenced by British culture. A pub which offers lodging may be called an inn or hostelry.

Thanks again for the information.  It's hard to know what things mean in other  areas
