As far as Tryddyn and Treuddyn are concerned; They are the same places,Treuddyn being the more modern version,it being used after 1938.

I know where to come now, especially as i have some ancestors in Radnorshire lol.

carla

Now Radnorshire I know nothing about  :D My Welsh ancestors didn't get any further south than Montgomeryshire but I  do have quite a bit of stuff on Powys (which, I think, includes the dreaded Radnorshire) :D :D :D

I am struggling to work out what is Joseph's dob....will that show up on the marriage certificate? I can find three Joseph's in Tryddyn, Flintshire in the 1891 census each with different but similar dates.

It would show his age on the wedding cert and his father's name which might help.

While I'm here - do you know where he died - I had a trawl of deaths the other day but wasn't too sure so left it.

The one that I found in the 1901 in Crook - not far from Spennymore - was 38 which would put his DoB as 1853 ish and a death date of 1919 - ish. I found a death of a Joseph in Dudley aged 56 in 1919.

hmmm no i dont know his date of death but what you have written is interesting because i have checked with mum in law and she said Joseph died age 56 of emphysema so that one sounds promising. He was pretty old when he had his kids though. Where is Dudley? (der? lol)

Dudley - west midlands - near wolverhampton. Does your ma in law have any rough idea about his death - say roughly thirties, roughly twenties, etc.

Oh, when was the last child born?

was originally in Staffordshire

Gadget....mum in law says Joseph died age 56 of emphysema. sorry took so long but trying to get the info out of her was exciting ( :o ) Been told there were four children, one of which (elizabeth) died about 18mths old. Think the other's names were sally and Leslie and naturally William who is the ancestor i am following back.

Does this help?
