As far as Penninah Williams is concerned, being a totally unique name, the only one I can find is in the 1891 Census for Flintshire, born in "Ffynnongroyw" Flintshire, and living in  Llanasa Flintshire. She is listed as the daughter of John and Elizabeth Williams, and born in c 1884.

This is only marriage reference that I can find for Penninah's parents on the North Walses BMD, which fits with them having a 17 year old son on the 1891. Given their ages, he is probably the eldest child:

John Williams, marrying an Elizabeth Roberts, Holywell, civil marriage, 1873 Local reference is

HOL - 08 - E155

The registration district that I  found for you was Holywell.

If you go to www.genuki.org.uk

and select the Wales - Flintshire pages, they will be listed under 'civil registration'

Basically - ST Asaph, Mold and Holywell.

There are even nice maps there  :)

Don't worry Clara - William and I have been 'doing the boards' a good few years - we understand what it's like to be new to an area and we have the added advantage of being born there  :D

Ok yipee i have just ordered two marriage certificates. One for Joseph and Penninah. The other is for John Williams and Elizabeth Roberts. So thank you. The only thing i am now hoping to find from thst is Joseph's age when he was married so i can get the right dob.

I know where to come now, especially as i have some ancestors in Radnorshire lol.

Watch this space  ;D
