why doesn't my browser suddenly like gmail

Definitely my system. it happened immediately after an update. I shall play around untill my bedtime - then if I haven't figured it out I shall do a restore and start again tommorrow

I've had a quick look around on the web for possible solutions to this problem and they seem to suggest that you should get rid of your browser cache:

Right click on your I.E. icon on your desktop and scroll down to Properties and Delete browsing history.  Manually get rid of your cookies or specifically your gmail cookie.

Try accessing Gmail in a different way e.g. via a Google search and click on a link - it sometimes works.

Hi Downside,
     Already did that, it's something I do on a regular basis. Also tried accessing from search engines but still just doesn't like the page.
      Overnight I did a system restore and it is working again which is the important thing at the moment (am doing some extremely important communications), but at a later date I shall try the updates again.
