If it was a baptism before an army chaplain and not in a local church then army baptisms and later birth registrations are held in the overseas registers (even if they took place in England) at The General Registry Office. The baptisms begin in 1761.
Have you checked the GRO overseas indexes - a much quicker process then trawling through all the local churches, to eliminate this possibility?
