ROCHFORD of Leeds
« on: Friday 04 August 06 00:04 BST (UK) »
I am researching the family of James (d.1857) and Ann (nee McHale) and their daughter Alice, b. 1853 in Leeds, who went to Halifax and married a NEEDHAM. Alice is also know as RATCHFORD/TH and, who knows, even ROCKFORD/T (it's one of those!). I think they're the family living in Wellington Yard, North Leeds, in 1861, and I'm trying to establish whether they're Irish or not.

Thanks for any inspiration.

Well done, Joe! I reckon that looks good enough for me, and the Edward McHale is the clincher. That means I'm an eighth Irish. But small wonder I couldn't find it.

I owe you one. I'm a member of the Manchester and Lancashire FHS so if there's anything you need looking up from there, or even Cheshire, let me know.

Sláinte,
Duncan
