I am o.k. now thanks, I deleted all my p.m. from my e.mail and did not know how to get to them on the site, easy when you know how, I am still learning my way around here.

Hi Ticker, I am hollering  ;)

On the original home page of Ancestry there used to be a box with Soundex in it, I cant find it there now, is it anywhere else please ???

it's not on mine either! ???
I tried on the first screen, (home page) and tried on a census 1901 search screen, not on either
but
on both screens above the first name box is a little box - exact match only, that you can tick, so presumably it does soundex unless you tick this box?

It has been suggested to me that it might be the English version only that is has disappeared from.
I have mailed Ancestry to ask them about it, awaiting their reply.
