Ferguson's of Greenock
« on: Friday 04 August 06 16:29 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for information on Fergus Ferguson born in Greenock in 1860.  He married Lilly McDougall in Glasgow in 1893.  Can't find any information on either of them after their marriage.

Hi, I just wanted to make contact about your McDougall connections. I just posted information about my family line but wondered if you had any link with the Eckford/Caverton Mill family?
thanks

Hi,

I also have a Ferguson line from Greenock.  Margaret Drummond Ferguson (born in May 1821, daughter of Margaret Drummond & John Ferguson) emigrated to Salt Lake City and is buried there.  I have her grave up on Find-a-Grave: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSvcid=26289&GRid=18850729&
She married into the McMaster line also from Greenock.
My family tree can be viewed on: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=knrivers

Maybe an ancestor of your Fergus and my John born about 1796 could have shared a common sibling.

Please take a look and let me know what you think.
I'll keep an eye out for Fergus, as well.
Also have you tried: http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

They have a lot of great information but it is a for pay service...

Happy Hunting!

Hi IMG

What are their Dates of Birth. Can ;look in 1901 census which might show some children and will also help track down possible death records.

Thanks

Ann
