1901 lookup please - BIRD, Hull COMPLETED, THANKS
« on: Sunday 06 August 06 14:24 BST (UK) »
Hi

Could someone please look up this reference for me, and check the names?

RG13/4486 Folio: 108 Page: 47

It's for the Bird family living at 13 Berkley Terrace, Hull apparently.

My problem lies with the son, Edward Bird who is, I believe, 3 years old, having been born in Hull.

However, on FreeBMDI can only find an Edward FENTON Bird born in Sculcoates in the March quarter of 1898 - the date WOULD fit - and I know that Sculcoates was 'subsumed' by Hull after 1937, but I am wondering if there is actually an 'F' on the Edward Bird on the 1901 census.

Thanks in advance!

Roger ;)

Hi again Pam!

Yes, I think that's got to be him. Other Birds born in that 'branch' of the tree have 'Hull' as birthplace on the censuses (censi??) but are more accurately defined on FreeBMD as Patrington, Easington and Sculcoates.

Cheers!
