Anderson's of St. Annes-On-Sea COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 09 August 06 23:31 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am looking to trace anyone connected to Hugh Anderson born 1860 Scotland. He gave details of living at Glencorse, or Glenmorse,  St. Annes-On-Sea. How can I trace this place of residence? I have no other details. The details where put in an obituary for his son's death, William J. Anderson. Need help please.
I am researching the following names.....Owen/s-Holyhead, Rimmer/Lewis-West Derby, Wood/s/Hayter-Toxteth

In 1901 this Hugh and Alice were still in Rishton- daughter Maria aged 12yrs- no son.
There is a Glencorse reservoir near Edinburgh so perhaps Hugh called his home after such a place.
What is the timescale you are interested in?
best wishes

Thanx for the help peeps. William J Anderson'sdetails are as follows.......Born 1902, died 11 October 1920, aged 19 in Ireland. He worked for the Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin, Ireland.  Hope this helps. I have just e-mailed my cousin and am waiting to hear from her. It is her that has traced this part of the family, I am just helping out. I have sent her the link to the site too, so that she can join. We have only just found each other, we are in fact half cousins.
