Looking for Harrison Hornblow Pomeroy.
The CID scotland Yard were looking for him too in 1917.
Notice in the Times 17 January 1917 for 'taking Public Moneys and absconding'
At the time he was in the Royal Naval Reserve as an assistant paymaster having been a purser in the White Star Line before the Great War.
We are looking for the trial reports which should have made the newspapers sometime in 1917.
Could he have been Courts Marshalled?

Thanks
