1861 - Atrillery Street, Bermondsey
Rg9 / 323 fol 54-56

Can someone please have a look and see if the Robert John Piercey or members of the Piercey family or Gillingham family lived there.

A  member of the James family was born there, and years later when she married in 1862 said they lived there - but there is no trace in 1861 census of any James family???!!!  So who was living at number 11?

Thanks so much

Pammie :)

Was Robert Piercey a Police constable age 24? (folio 59a)

There is no Number 11 Artillery Street listed in the folios

Thanks for the look up Pauline.

Robert Piercey would have been in his early 20's I think,  and in 1863 on his marriage certificate his occupation was a traveller - his father was also named Robert Piercey and he was a publican.

Shall keep looking..........
