Hi, I’ve just joined this site after finding this forum about 73 grove street and I was wondering does anyone know anything about the house? My grandfather, Thomas Smyth, was born on 73 grove street in 1924 to Helen and Patrick Smyth.

My family lived at 73 Grove street when they married in 1922. Patrick Smyth and Ellen Maguire were witnesses at the marriage. Unfortunately, I don't yet have any more information.

Welcome to RootsChat, fromthemtous  :)

73 Grove Street was multi occupancy. In the 1925 Valuation Rolls, there were 19 tenants at that address. Patrick Smith still showing there that year.

Thank you all! I will need to spend some time navigating this site to find out how it works.

The families I had at 73 Grove street were O’Keeffe, Maguire and  Murray. O’Keeffe was from Dublin, but I’ve no idea about Murray’s.

It’s a lovely photograph Monica.
