As Samuel was residing at Lachine at the time of his enlistment in WW1 it can be assumed that they did not leave the area and were living there at the time of the 1911 census. Since the name has been mistranscribed on other census, you might want to try scanning through the 1911 Lachine census pages. You can access them here:

It is a bit of work, but I suspect you will find them. There are 10 Lachine links to their areas census pages.
