Anyone know enough to look at a HiJackThis Log to give me a hand in indentifying a potential problem?

I agree....I can see things there that don't look right, but as to whether they should be dealt with, I won't risk it....

I have got them posted on a 'geek' forum, but as yet, no reply....But who is to say the 'helpful geek' knows enough anyway?

I have only used Hijack twice before ... and only to confirm findings from other sources. Unfortunately I found that Hijack generates a lot of "false" positives ... however by isolating the various filenames a google search generally throws further light on them..... the downside (apologies  ) is that it does throw open a lot of information about your system.

There should be a button on the bottom left of the hijack screen ... highlight the suspect line and click on this button and hijack will tell you why it suspects this particular entry and what it would do with it if given the go ahead.

Hi Falkyrn....Yes I know about that button, but if you actually hit it, the info only tells you what it could be, not what it is, so I don't feel like 'fixing it' yet.
