Thank you for all your help I think the only way forward is to get the birth certificate for the entry that has been found for mirriam putting on the application her Father's name.

I think that is the only way we are going to get any further on this.

Thank you all for all your help but I think we are clutching at straws and I think the best way forward is to try and get the birth certificate or at least find out if it is the right birth then we should get more idea of where to go.

Hi Christine,

What were the name of the witnesses on the marriage cert?  They could provide good clues.  I thought that maybe if we found Melton Terrace in West Melton on the 1901 census, your Miriam might have been living there then!
