hi can anyone help, thomas married mary in 1876 in normanton there father names were john stringer and richard mason i would like to find out thomas and mary mothers names. thomas born 1846,mary born 1848

Do you know where Thomas and Mary were born?  If not, you can search for them on the 1881 census free at http://www.familysearch.org - this will give us a birthplace to look for on earlier censuses.

I can see 2 possible Mary Masons with father Richard - one born Bury, and one born Tipton.  There are several possibilities for Thomas.

There is a Stringer family in Normanton on the 1881 census, but I'm not sure if it's the right one, as there are several children born earlier than 1876.
